DW ECP

With a compact, stainless steel slide and a forged aluminum frame, weight is kept to a svelte 29 oz. CZ’s new tapered G10 grips and a bobbed mainspring housing enhance its ergonomics, affording shooters with smaller hands an easier reach to the trigger. A tri-topped slide wears aggressive side serrations and a top rib to knock down glare, while the new U-notch rear sight is matched to our brass-beaded front sight. The bull barrel itself is flush-cut to make for easier disassembly and has a 30 degree crown. With a similar recoil system to the ECO, it has a flat wire recoil spring that is rated for 15,000 rounds – three times the round count of a typical 1911 dual recoil spring setup. With a compact size that melts away when concealed and a beefy bull barrel, the ECP is an ideal 1911 for everyday carry.

DW RAZORBACK RZ-10

The RZ-10 is a 5 inch 1911 and features a serrated Clark-style target rib machined on the top of the slide with fixed defensive sights. CZ fit a match-grade ramped barrel for use with the most popular 10mm loads and smoother feeding. The slide is mated to a standard forged frame with undercut trigger guard and smooth front strap. Both the frame and the slide are polished to a soft brushed finish and the rounds are sandblasted. The gun is finished off with a nice set of double diamond cocobolo grips. Chambered in the powerful 10mm cartridge, the Razorback is a very versatile 1911 package suitable for defensive use, target shooting and handgun hunting of medium-sized game up to deer or wild boar.

DW POINTMAN CA COMPLIANT

The Pointman series has been offered in limited quantities in the past, and demand always outpaces production capacity. Featuring our serrated rib on top of the forged slide, it has an adjustable target sight in the rear and fiber optic sight in the front, and front and rear cocking serrations. The frame is forged stainless with an undercut triggerguard and 25-LPI frontstrap checkering. The flats are polished to a soft brushed finish, and the rounds are sandblasted for a nice contrast. Double diamond cocobolo grips finish it off.

Produced only in small numbers in recent years, a resurgence in demand means CZ brought the bobbed Commander back into regular production. One of the few California-legal models in the 1911 line, it has a loyal and growing following in the Golden State. With stainless steel slide and frame, its flats are brushed and rounds are bead blasted. With snag-free Tritium sights and a bobbed mainspring housing, it is an excellent candidate for concealed carry.

DW POINTMAN NINE PM-9

The Pointman series is built for the range, with an adjustable target rear sight and fiber optic front. Its forged slide has our Clark-style rib running between the sights to reduce glare and has front and rear cocking serrations to enable easy manipulation. The forged stainless frame has an undercut trigger guard to get the hand a little higher on the pistol and 25 LPI front strap checkering to hold it firmly in place without being too harsh. Flats on this pistol are soft brushed while the rounds are sandblasted, giving a nice contrast. Double diamond cocobolo grips finish it off. The Pointman shines at both the range and in competition.

Equipped with an ambidextrous thumb safety, extended magazine release and detachable two-piece magwell, the Specialist is operator-friendly. It is finished off with a set of G10 VZ Operator II grips that force the hand into the beavertail and hold it there.

CZ P-07 SUPPRESSOR-READY

Loaded with features but without all the flash of the Urban Grey series, the standard black P-07 Suppressor-Ready comes with high night sights and extended magazine bases in addition to the obligatory extended, threaded barrel (1/2×28). The CZ P-07 is the updated version of the CZ 75 P-07 Duty. The debut of the full-size P-09 brought refined lines and interchangeable backstraps to our polymer Omega line. The P-07 follows suit, with new features and a nitrated slide finish that wears longer and has increased corrosion resistance. The pistol as a whole has been dehorned, removing any sharp edges to make it more comfortable for all-day carry. Like the P-09, the P-07’s safety and decocker are interchangeable with a few minutes and minimal tools. CZ P-10 F .45

Giving the P-10 C a big brother, the F is a full-size model. The longer slide and barrel bring a better sight radius, meaning it’s even easier to be accurate with. The added weight means it shoots flatter and reduced felt recoil. One change that happens on both the US-made and Czech-made P-10s is the switch to a swappable magazine release. With a change in geometry, the goal was to eliminate the stiffness some customers experienced as the magazine release broke in, even though it became smooth after some use. This new reversible release just requires a few minutes to swap, allowing the P-10 to remain lefty-friendly. My wife and I love this place. Take Aim has a friendly staff who are very knowledgeable. Mike Magowan is the best trainer I know, and Peter is, well, Peter, and we love them both. Very family oriented, calm atmosphere (for a gun range), and their prices aren't bad either. Check them out, and fire a few rounds while you are there.
